Base Salary
$95k - $110k/yr
Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain production AWS environments across regions.
- Write and maintain automation and infrastructure code using Git, CloudFormation, Python, and Bash.
- Build and improve deployment and operational tooling with Jenkins.
- Work in Linux environments running Java-based applications and troubleshoot automation failures.
- Assist with AMI updates, disaster recovery testing, environment upgrades, and production issue investigation.
- Use logs and metrics to troubleshoot issues and participate in an on-call rotation after training.
- Own small operational projects and improve reliability, security, scalability, and operational safety over time.
Requirements
- 0–3 years of experience in a technical role such as Ops, DevOps, SRE, Systems, or similar.
- Ability to write real scripts or programs, reason about code, debug failures, and improve automation.
- Experience working in Linux environments and familiarity with Git-based workflows including branching, pull requests, and code reviews.
- Some exposure to AWS through coursework, labs, internships, or real environments.
- Strong curiosity, willingness to learn complex systems, clear communication, and comfort asking questions.
- A sense of responsibility when working on customer-impacting systems.
- Preferred qualifications include infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, distributed systems, networking, security, Java web application, or AWS certification experience.
