Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end architecture across 4G EPC, 5G SA Core, subscriber data management, and cloud infrastructure.
  • Lead and delegate work across a team of Solution Architects from different product areas.
  • Create high-level and low-level designs, migration and rollback plans, and operational models.
  • Ensure architectural consistency across CNFs and underlying cloud platforms, including Ericsson CNIS multi-site deployments.
  • Advise customer CTO, architecture, and operations teams and lead architecture and change review forums.
  • Assess technical risks and define mitigation plans for major network and cloud changes.
  • Plan and support traffic migrations, software upgrades, disaster recovery, and failover.
  • Define Kubernetes and cloud platform standards for resiliency, security, networking, storage, and observability.
  • Drive automation, CI/CD, GitOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code for Core and Cloud environments.
  • Improve monitoring, alerting, logging, and performance management with OMC, OSS, CNS, and NOC teams.
  • Partner with business, solution, and delivery teams on solution scoping, statements of work, and customer proposals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or a related field.
  • 12+ years of experience in Core/Cloud and 5+ years in technical leadership roles.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Ericsson 5G SA Core components including AMF, SMF, UPF, PCF, UDM, AUSF, NRF, NEF, and CHF.
  • Strong hands-on experience with 4G EPC components including MME, SGW, PGW, PCRF, and HSS.
  • Excellent communication, customer advisory, technical deep-dive, conflict-resolution, and customer buy-in skills.
  • Solid knowledge of Ericsson CNIS, NFVi/cloud-native platforms, Kubernetes, containers, and CNFs.
  • Knowledge of IMS, VoLTE/VoNR, data management, call flows, IP networking, routing, security, and telecom protocols.
  • Experience troubleshooting solution-level issues in multi-node environments.
  • Practical experience with automation and CI/CD toolchains including Ansible, Helm, Terraform, ArgoCD, and Jenkins.
  • Track record leading complex Core and Cloud transformation programs in Tier-1 operator environments.
  • Experience with public or hybrid cloud platforms such as AWS and Azure, including networking and security services.
  • Cloud, Kubernetes, or telecom certifications such as CKA, AWS, or Azure certifications.
  • Experience with services scoping, effort estimation, statements of work, and service descriptions.

  • Ontario base salary range of $127,000 - $166,950 CAD, plus eligibility for an annual short-term variable compensation bonus.
