Responsibilities
- Define, design, and oversee solution architectures for Capital Markets applications.
- Design fault-tolerant, highly available cloud-native architectures using Microsoft Azure and Azure Kubernetes Service.
- Architect event-driven systems with Apache Kafka and develop modular microservices and API integration strategies.
- Lead architecture workshops, governance reviews, design reviews, code reviews, and modernization initiatives.
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable Java-based solution architectures.
- Develop and maintain HLDs, LLDs, architecture diagrams, roadmaps, blueprints, specifications, workflow diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Ensure solutions meet scalability, resiliency, performance, security, compliance, and operational requirements.
- Mentor software development teams on coding standards, design patterns, integration strategies, and engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with business analysts, enterprise architects, software engineers, QA, DevOps, infrastructure, operations, and client leadership.
- Support implementation, deployment pipelines, release management, production readiness, and issue resolution.
Requirements
- 12+ years of hands-on Java development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience as a Solutions Architect, Design Lead, or Technical Lead.
- Strong experience in Capital Markets environments.
- Expertise in Java-J2EE, Azure Cloud, Azure Kubernetes Service, Apache Kafka, event-driven architecture, microservices, REST APIs, SQL, and Python.
- Experience gathering requirements, designing architectures, conducting architecture reviews, and guiding implementation.
- Knowledge of security standards, regulatory compliance, enterprise resiliency, and cloud modernization practices.
- Databricks experience is considered an asset.
- Strong cross-functional communication, mentoring, documentation, and technical leadership capabilities.
