Base Salary
$156k - $186k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build, test, and maintain production data processing pipelines for infrared imagery.
- Improve pipeline performance against latency targets through profiling and parallelization.
- Implement and operate workflow orchestration for automated processing across satellites.
- Build monitoring, alerting, and operational tooling; participate in on-call rotation.
- Collaborate with remote sensing scientists to develop production-ready code.
- Contribute to code review, testing practices, and technical documentation.
- Diagnose and fix data quality and processing failures.
- Learn new topics related to remote sensing and geospatial data engineering.
Requirements
- BS, Masters, or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, a physical science, or equivalent experience.
- BS +5 years or MS +3 years of relevant professional experience.
- Solid Python skills with experience in maintainable code.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure, preferably AWS, and containerized deployment.
- Ability to work with large-scale data and distributed teams.
- Willingness to learn the science domain to assess output correctness.
