Base Salary
$150k - $215k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design and implement core iOS platform capabilities, including app architecture, navigation patterns, shared UI components, networking, persistence, and feature flagging.
- Lead technical planning and delivery for complex initiatives by scoping work, sequencing dependencies, identifying risks, and communicating tradeoffs and timelines.
- Build and ship high-quality member-facing iOS features in Swift while collaborating with cross-functional partners.
- Improve app reliability, performance, and maintainability through testing, observability, crash and performance monitoring, and disciplined release practices.
- Establish shared engineering standards through code reviews, documentation, and architectural discussions.
- Mentor engineers through pairing, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
Requirements
- Significant experience building, testing, debugging, and shipping native iOS applications in production environments.
- Strong proficiency with Swift, iOS frameworks, and modern architecture patterns such as MVVM.
- Experience leading technical planning and delivery for ambiguous, cross-cutting iOS initiatives such as modularization, refactoring, performance, or reliability programs.
- Strong knowledge of iOS performance and reliability fundamentals, including memory management, profiling, and concurrency.
- Experience integrating mobile applications with backend services and APIs, including authentication and resilient networking.
- Familiarity with Xcode, Git, CI, Fastlane, Swift Package Manager, and CocoaPods.
- Ability to collaborate across Product, Design, QA, Data, and Backend Engineering and communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience building shared mobile foundations across platforms or contributing to backend services and APIs such as Java is a bonus.
