Responsibilities
- Own and contribute to the architecture and development of enterprise Java applications.
- Develop client- and server-side applications using Java, Java EE/Jakarta EE, Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, and WildFly.
- Modernize legacy forensic systems and design modular, scalable, maintainable, and high-performance platforms.
- Design and optimize backend services, data models, integration logic, and high-performance processing workflows.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, automated build and release processes, and containerized environments.
- Ensure code quality, test coverage, performance, production stability, and continuous improvement.
- Provide technical guidance on design and implementation across distributed delivery teams.
- Collaborate with product, QA, DevOps, architecture, business, and IT stakeholders.
- Support team mobilization, onboarding, training, and knowledge transfer across global delivery centers.
Requirements
- MCA or bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field.
- At least 8 years of hands-on experience in Java-based software development on global or enterprise projects.
- Extensive enterprise Java development and DevOps experience is preferred.
- Proven experience with software architecture, hands-on development, product development environments, and legacy-system evolution.
- Strong knowledge of Java, Java EE/Jakarta EE, Eclipse RCP, SWT, JFace, PostgreSQL, WildFly, JPA/Hibernate, JPQL, and CriteriaBuilder.
- Experience with Git-based workflows, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Maven, and Eclipse Tycho.
- Strong understanding of product development lifecycles and Lean Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Experience working in regulated or complex operational environments such as forensics or LIMS is preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, analytical, problem-solving, learning, and continuous-improvement skills.
