Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain DTN products, platforms, and APIs using Rust, gRPC, and Protocol Buffers.
- Build scalable and distributed systems on Kubernetes.
- Participate in the full application lifecycle, with an emphasis on coding and debugging.
- Improve legacy applications and optimize software for full-scale production deployments.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to integrate user-facing elements with server-side logic.
- Gather and address technical and design requirements and follow emerging technologies.
- Create documentation, tutorials, sample code, and other technical content for developers and customers.
- Support customer onboarding and guide customers through integrating existing and future systems.
- Engage with developers, promote Spacetime, and support the developer and customer experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.
- Strong technical communication skills and the ability to communicate across multiple functions.
- Curiosity about business and technology strategies, processes, and objectives.
- Experience working with customers or end users, answering questions, and developing creative solutions.
- Experience with the DTN stack, distributed systems, cloud technologies, networking, storage, queueing, or related systems challenges.
- Preferred experience designing scalable distributed microservice or event-driven architectures.
- Preferred experience writing scalable software with unit and integration testing, concurrency control, CNCF technologies, and containerization.
- Preferred familiarity with delay-tolerant networking communications standards and protocols, including CCSDS/IETF BPv7 and BPSec.
- Preferred experience creating technical content such as documentation, tutorials, or blog posts.
- Preferred experience with cloud platforms and services such as Google Cloud Platform or AWS.
- A strong desire to pitch and sell the company’s technology.
