Responsibilities
- Translate customer requirements into HAM/SAM solution designs, user stories, and build specifications.
- Lead and support technical requirements, design, and deep-dive workshops with customer stakeholders.
- Drive configuration, scripting, flows, integrations, unit testing, system testing, and release migration across delivery sprints.
- Lead design walkthroughs, sprint playbacks, defect triage, technical status discussions, estimation, risk identification, and dependency management.
- Deliver HAM capabilities covering asset lifecycle, stockrooms, inventory, transfer orders, procurement integration, asset-CI reconciliation, refresh, audits, Asset Workspace, and mobile capabilities.
- Deliver SAM capabilities covering software discovery and normalization, entitlement and license imports, reconciliation, compliance positions, publisher packs, software models, and remediation workflows.
- Design HAM/SAM solutions on top of existing CMDB and ITOM investments while preserving data quality and supporting CSDM, IRE, and endpoint or discovery integrations.
- Set development standards, review supporting developers' work, and coordinate onsite and offshore team members.
Requirements
- 7+ years of hands-on ServiceNow platform experience, including 3+ years focused on ITAM with HAM/SAM.
- At least two full-cycle HAM and/or SAM Pro implementations delivered from design through hypercare.
- Strong ServiceNow platform architecture and development experience with scoped applications, Flow Designer, IntegrationHub, REST/SOAP integrations, ACL and security models, performance considerations, and instance hygiene.
- Working knowledge of CMDB/ITOM, CSDM, Discovery data flows, and reconciliation in mature live environments.
- Ability to independently facilitate workshops, defend design decisions, and manage customer technical stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written English with confidence presenting to customer architects and program leadership.
- ServiceNow CSA certification and CIS-HAM or CIS-SAM certification required; both CIS certifications are strongly preferred.
- CAD, CIS-Discovery, or CIS-ITSM certifications and experience with recent platform releases are preferred.
- Experience in financial services or public-sector ITAM, SaaS license management, procurement or ERP integrations, and App Engine or custom scoped application delivery is desirable.
- Ability to explain prior HAM/SAM implementations and respond to scenario-based technical assessment questions.
