Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end application, server, database, process-flow, and integration architectures.
- Monitor system health, review logs and reports, and identify, resolve, and prevent application performance issues.
- Use data to improve application performance and design performance metrics and tracking processes.
- Define system requirements and objectives based on business needs and performance goals.
- Recommend improvements for business processing, installations, upgrades, capacity, and system reliability.
- Lead strategic planning for the application platform and guide teams through architectural decisions and trade-offs.
- Analyze and revise system hardware and software and troubleshoot complex problems involving hardware, software, and databases.
- Collaborate with business lines, Technology, the Project Management Office, senior management, vendors, and consultants.
- Serve as a vendor liaison, review contracts and statements of work, and help set the strategic direction for assigned applications.
- Lead the team, coordinate work and processes, assign work, and provide input for performance management.
- Support risk management and compliance with applicable regulatory laws and company procedures.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in any field is required.
- Seven years of technology-related experience supporting a variety of applications is required.
- Advanced knowledge of application administration, processes and operations, and root-cause analysis for hardware, software, and database problems is required.
- Advanced training and certification in the application domain is required.
- Strong application architecture, logical, physical, and reference architecture design skills are required.
- Experience with process flows, data flow diagrams, solution blueprints, and diagramming tools is required or preferred.
- Strong customer service, organizational, analytical, interpersonal, multitasking, and detail-oriented skills are required.
- Experience with SQL, SSIS, SQL Server, data modeling, AWS, Azure, Java architecture, APIs, integration patterns, SSO, SAML, identity and access management, or AI/ML solution patterns is preferred.
- Financial-domain experience involving governance, risk, compliance, finance, accounting, HR, or treasury is preferred.
