Base Salary

$130k - $160k/yr

Responsibilities

Design and build backend services for a logistics orchestration and decision-intelligence platform.
Own partner data flows from multi-vendor IoT ingestion and normalization through warehousing, observability, and on-call support.
Build and maintain event-driven architectures using messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
Develop predictive systems for OTIF performance and automate exception-handling workflows.
Design and integrate external partner APIs, webhooks, queues, carrier feeds, sensor streams, and vendor connections.
Deploy and operate containerized services on cloud infrastructure while maintaining reliability standards for mission-critical logistics use cases.
Collaborate with leadership and cross-functional teammates in a growth-stage startup.

At least 5 years of backend engineering experience building scalable distributed systems.
Hands-on proficiency in Python and TypeScript/Node.js; strong Java experience is a plus.
Experience owning external partner-facing operational data integrations end to end.
Experience with IoT data ingestion, processing, and contextualization.
Strong SQL skills and relational data-modeling experience; NoSQL familiarity is a plus.
Experience designing and developing APIs with REST and/or gRPC.
Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Experience deploying and operating services on AWS, GCP, or Azure.
Experience with testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and observability.
Ability to work independently as a senior individual contributor on a lean team.
Logistics, cold-chain, supply-chain, or IoT domain knowledge is a strong plus.
Growth-stage or Series A experience is a plus.
Familiarity with data security, privacy, or regulatory considerations relevant to pharma or cold-chain domains is a plus.
