Base Salary
$144k - $214k/yr
Responsibilities
- Build large-scale, low-latency distributed systems for natural language understanding, personalization, and ML-driven advertising experiences.
- Partner with scientists to design, build, test, and deploy production systems serving machine-learning models at scale.
- Build ML infrastructure and data-processing pipelines supporting global advertising experiences.
- Design, build, and operate customer-facing functionality serving hundreds of millions of shoppers.
- Translate business and scientific requirements into robust APIs and maintainable software solutions.
- Instrument systems to measure shopper and advertiser responses and drive data-informed iteration.
- Drive major product and engineering initiatives that help merchants, vendors, and brand owners grow incremental sales through advertising.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of non-internship professional software development experience.
- At least 2 years of non-internship experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
- Preferred: 4 or more years of full software development lifecycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
- Preferred: bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.

- The listed base salary ranges are $158,100–$213,800 annually for New York and $143,700–$194,400 annually for Seattle.
