Base Salary
$176k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own production reliability outcomes by monitoring operational health, surfacing risks, and driving remediation.
- Define and improve SLIs, SLOs, error budgets, alerting, and alert-noise reduction.
- Improve observability, dashboards, runbooks, and troubleshooting across Kubernetes and AWS.
- Lead on-call incident response, triage, mitigation, recovery, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Operate Kubernetes workloads and AWS container and serverless components, including scaling, rollouts, retries, and safe failure modes.
- Improve deployment safety and release reliability using Spinnaker and Harness.
- Build Terraform infrastructure-as-code modules and automation for consistent environments.
- Improve reliability patterns for databases and data services, including DynamoDB and Amazon S3.
- Apply secure operational practices and required control standards.
- Lead small-to-medium reliability initiatives from proposal through production adoption and use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities with appropriate validation and data handling.
Requirements
- Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and 5+ years of applied experience.
- Experience in SRE, DevOps, production engineering, or equivalent.
- Hands-on experience operating Kubernetes workloads in production.
- Production experience with AWS, including EKS, ECS, Lambda, DynamoDB, and S3.
- Experience with CI/CD and release tools such as Spinnaker and/or Harness.
- Proficiency with Terraform and scripting or automation in Python, Bash, or Go.
- Strong incident response, root cause analysis, remediation, Linux, networking, and distributed-systems troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to independently execute scoped reliability work and escalate when needed.
- Ability to use enterprise-authorized AI capabilities responsibly, validate recommendations, and follow data-sensitivity requirements.
- Preferred: experience with SLO programs, customer-aligned alerting, performance/capacity/resilience testing, operational maturity improvements, fraud or payment flows, database reliability, secure operations, and engineering/platform collaboration.
