Responsibilities
- Translate business ambitions into architecture choices, actionable designs, and practical roadmaps.
- Shape solutions across applications, software, integration, platforms, and enterprise landscapes.
- Design architectures across on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments, including cloud-native solutions and system modernization.
- Evaluate APIs, event-driven systems, distributed applications, managed services, and containers where appropriate.
- Embed security, resilience, performance, observability, maintainability, and cost awareness into designs.
- Facilitate workshops and align business stakeholders, engineering teams, and platform specialists.
- Validate architecture ideas through prototypes, support implementation, and evolve designs based on delivery learning.
- Contribute to architecture principles, technical governance, knowledge sharing, and the architecture community.
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant professional experience in technical architecture.
- Depth in one or more of Software, Application, Solution, Integration, or Enterprise Architecture.
- Experience taking architecture from requirements and design through implementation, deployment, operation, and evolution.
- Experience with on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments and their trade-offs.
- Ability to explain technical decisions clearly and connect architecture to business outcomes.
- A collaborative approach, sound technical judgment, and curiosity about better solutions.
- A relevant academic degree or equivalent professional experience.
- Additional valued experience includes cloud-native and distributed architectures, domain-driven design, APIs, event streaming, integration platforms, platform engineering, internal developer platforms, Kubernetes, application modernization, cloud migration, enterprise architecture methods, consulting, and client-facing delivery.
