Responsibilities
- Lead technology advisory engagements and architecture workstreams within complex client programmes.
- Define and deliver enterprise and solution architecture artefacts, including current-state and target-state architectures, roadmaps, transition states, integration patterns and capability maps.
- Shape cloud strategies, solution architecture designs, IT strategy roadmaps and large-scale transformation programmes.
- Advise CIOs, CTOs, chief architects and senior stakeholders on technology and platform decisions.
- Support sales, proposals and business development through client presentations, solution shaping, effort estimation and commercial input.
- Build client relationships, identify follow-on opportunities and contribute to investment cases and transformation strategies.
- Lead, manage, mentor and coach colleagues while helping grow the Insurance Architecture team.
- Develop thought leadership on technology applications in insurance and financial services and represent the practice at industry events.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in technology roles covering some combination of data, application, cloud, integration and security.
- Strong working knowledge of architecture concepts, particularly application and data domains.
- Experience integrating multiple systems within an enterprise estate and familiarity with enterprise application integration patterns.
- Ability to operate at the intersection of business and technology and explain complex technology concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Familiarity with at least one major industry platform such as FNZ, SS&C, Pershing, Guidewire, Sapiens, Duck Creek, Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable.
- Experience leading technology consulting architecture or transformation engagements, preferably in financial services, insurance or another regulated industry.
- Experience shaping technology strategies, architecture roadmaps or large-scale transformation programmes and leading teams or workstreams.
- Experience supporting business development, proposals and client relationship management activities is advantageous.
- Interest in automation, AI/GenAI and modern data platforms, with the ability to engage stakeholders across business, technology and delivery teams.
- Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally.
