Responsibilities

  • Lead technology advisory engagements and architecture workstreams within complex client programmes.
  • Define and deliver enterprise and solution architecture artefacts, including current-state and target-state architectures, roadmaps, transition states, integration patterns and capability maps.
  • Shape cloud strategies, solution architecture designs, IT strategy roadmaps and large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Advise CIOs, CTOs, chief architects and senior stakeholders on technology and platform decisions.
  • Support sales, proposals and business development through client presentations, solution shaping, effort estimation and commercial input.
  • Build client relationships, identify follow-on opportunities and contribute to investment cases and transformation strategies.
  • Lead, manage, mentor and coach colleagues while helping grow the Insurance Architecture team.
  • Develop thought leadership on technology applications in insurance and financial services and represent the practice at industry events.

Requirements

  • At least 7 years of experience in technology roles covering some combination of data, application, cloud, integration and security.
  • Strong working knowledge of architecture concepts, particularly application and data domains.
  • Experience integrating multiple systems within an enterprise estate and familiarity with enterprise application integration patterns.
  • Ability to operate at the intersection of business and technology and explain complex technology concepts to executive and non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with at least one major industry platform such as FNZ, SS&C, Pershing, Guidewire, Sapiens, Duck Creek, Salesforce or Microsoft Dynamics is highly desirable.
  • Experience leading technology consulting architecture or transformation engagements, preferably in financial services, insurance or another regulated industry.
  • Experience shaping technology strategies, architecture roadmaps or large-scale transformation programmes and leading teams or workstreams.
  • Experience supporting business development, proposals and client relationship management activities is advantageous.
  • Interest in automation, AI/GenAI and modern data platforms, with the ability to engage stakeholders across business, technology and delivery teams.
  • Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally.
