Responsibilities
- Own and deliver quarterly goals for the engineering team.
- Collaborate with product management, design, and analytics throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Identify and advocate for solutions to project, process, technology, or business issues.
- Drive project definition, design, cross-functional alignment, and task breakdown.
- Monitor team artifacts and support operational availability.
- Engage in team growth activities, including participation in the interview process.
- Mentor engineers to improve design, code quality, and testing.
- Ensure the availability, reliability, and performance of team systems.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience as a software engineer with leadership responsibilities.
- Experience designing, developing, and launching backend systems at scale.
- Proficiency in Python or Kotlin.
- Track record of developing highly available distributed systems using AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
- Ability to synthesize complex business and technical requirements into high-quality designs.
- Comfortable navigating and debugging large code bases.
- Experience defining technical plans for significant features or system components.
- Strong ownership of personal growth and proactive feedback seeking.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
