Base Salary
$175k - $250k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own technical architecture for custom build engagements spanning custody, settlement, tokenization, and trading infrastructure.
- Design and explain full digital asset platforms from issuance and tokenization through custody, settlement, trading, and reporting.
- Apply TradFi systems expertise to digital asset architecture decisions and determine where legacy patterns should transfer or be redesigned.
- Serve as the primary technical and architectural contact for Tier-1 institutional stakeholders, leading discovery and defending design decisions.
- Partner with Product and Engineering to translate requirements into architecture and establish the technical bar.
- Explain tokenization mechanics to technical and non-technical stakeholders, including on-chain and off-chain representation, issuance, transfer, and settlement.
- Review designs and code and prototype solutions when useful for de-risking architectural decisions.
- Champion thoughtful adoption of AI tools to improve team performance and output quality.
Requirements
- Proven experience building and scaling TradFi systems at meaningful scale at a bank, exchange, custodian, or major financial infrastructure provider.
- Deep applied understanding of system design and architecture across both TradFi and digital asset systems.
- Strong practical fluency in tokenization and its role in institutional platforms.
- Experience architecting a complete digital asset platform covering custody, settlement, tokenization, and trading.
- Specialist-level technical depth and the ability to serve as the senior-most technical architecture voice.
- Client-facing experience with Tier-1 institutions, from engineer-focused whiteboard sessions to C-suite briefings.
- Ability to make difficult architectural decisions in ambiguous, high-stakes settings.
- Hands-on blockchain infrastructure or tokenization platform experience is a bonus.
- Prior architecture leadership at a custodian, exchange, clearinghouse, or Tier-1 bank is a bonus.
- Hands-on production LLM or AI agent experience is a bonus.
