Responsibilities
- Develop customized code, integrate software, perform analysis, and configure project-specific solutions.
- Lead and participate in development, testing, implementation, maintenance, and support of highly complex solutions.
- Build monitoring capabilities, provide escalated production support, and maintain security controls.
- Partner with business product owners to understand goals and recommend technical solutions.
- Lead moderately complex projects and participate in larger initiatives.
- Solve complex technical and operational problems, support less-experienced teammates, and potentially oversee a small team.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field with five years of relevant experience, or equivalent education and training.
- In-depth knowledge of information systems and IT best practices.
- Preferred qualifications include a master’s degree and ten or more years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
- Experience with Java SE and EE, Spring, Spring Boot, Spring Batch, API development, JSON, XML, OpenAPI, and RESTful services.
- Experience building enterprise-scale applications or services, using SOA or service architectures, and working with messaging or asynchronous communication technologies.
- Experience building cloud-native applications with AWS and using container platforms such as Kubernetes, OpenShift, or AWS ECS/EKS.
- Knowledge of relational database design, SQL, stored procedures, data modeling, and NoSQL databases such as Cassandra.
- Experience with Git, Maven, Jenkins, and comprehensive unit and integration testing.
- Banking or financial services experience is preferred.
