Base Salary
$92k - $136k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and execute system-level integration, upgrade, performance, scalability, and resiliency validation for HealthShare products.
- Own customer-scale validation environments, including multi-node topologies and large dataset orchestration.
- Build and maintain automation frameworks, validation tooling, and orchestration platforms for repeatable system-level testing.
- Design performance tests involving workload modeling, throughput and latency analysis, bottleneck identification, scripts, and datasets.
- Support release validation cycles and assess promoted-build readiness.
- Review source code, identify edge cases and weaknesses, track defects, and collaborate with developers on resolution.
- Partner with scrum, DevOps, Platform Engineering, and Operations teams to define scalable validation strategies and workflows.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to Quality Development Systems Engineers.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of experience in software quality engineering, SDET, or systems engineering.
- Experience testing distributed systems at scale, including performance and scalability evaluation.
- Proficiency in multiple programming languages such as Python, ObjectScript, Java, or similar languages.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Linux systems, and Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines.
- Ability to critically read code and identify weaknesses and performance issues.
- Strong analytical, debugging, problem-solving, communication, and cross-team collaboration skills.
- Ability to use AI coding agents such as Claude Code or Codex for code generation, refactoring, debugging, and test creation while maintaining quality standards.
- Comfort evaluating AI coding-agent outputs for correctness, security, and maintainability.
- BS/MS or higher in Computer Science, STEM, or Engineering is required.
- Preferred qualifications include virtualization or private cloud experience, Ansible or Terraform, Prometheus or Grafana, large-scale data processing or data engineering, FHIR, HL7, X12, Angular, TypeScript, Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, and high-availability, failover, or recovery testing.
