Base Salary

$90k - $120k/yr

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Python applications, data pipelines, analytics routines, dashboards, and reporting solutions.
  • Acquire, cleanse, transform, reconcile, and analyze brokerage data from internal and external sources.
  • Create reusable analyses and data products for monitoring performance, service levels, exceptions, risk indicators, and operational trends.
  • Translate business requirements from Brokerage stakeholders into scalable, reliable, and well-controlled technical and analytical solutions.
  • Apply modular design, source control, peer review, automated testing, documentation, and secure development practices.
  • Implement data-quality checks, lineage, reconciliation, exception handling, and audit-ready controls.
  • Troubleshoot data defects, production incidents, performance issues, and analytical discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis.
  • Participate in requirements refinement, solution design, development, testing, deployment, production support, and continuous improvement.
  • Integrate Python and analytics solutions with enterprise platforms, APIs, databases, file-transfer mechanisms, and workflow tools.
  • Communicate findings, risks, dependencies, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of experience, or equivalent education, software engineering training, or work-related experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of information systems and the ability to apply IT best practices.
  • Understanding of business processes and competitive strategies related to the IT function.
  • Experience supporting Brokerage, broker-dealer, wealth management, capital markets, or financial-services operations is preferred.
  • Knowledge of brokerage data and concepts such as accounts, securities, positions, trades, products, fees, suitability, supervision, and regulatory reporting is preferred.
  • Experience with Python data and analytics libraries such as pandas, NumPy, or PySpark is preferred.
  • Experience developing dashboards, operational reporting, or data visualizations with Power BI or Tableau is preferred.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, SharePoint, or Salesforce is preferred.
  • Experience integrating low-code solutions with APIs, databases, enterprise data platforms, or workflow processes is preferred.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms, distributed processing, enterprise analytics environments, Git-based source control, automated testing, and open-source tools is preferred.
  • Familiarity with financial-services controls, data governance, privacy, risk management, and applicable regulatory requirements is preferred.
