Responsibilities
- Build quantum computer management systems, controls infrastructure, and calibration services.
- Own and develop mission-critical software supporting the operationalization of quantum computers.
- Design efficient, scalable, easy-to-operate systems and troubleshoot complex issues.
- Collaborate daily with physicists, hardware engineers, and senior software developers.
- Analyze and fit scientific instrument data to extract insights and optimize system performance.
- Develop and test quality solutions, potentially leveraging AI.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of professional software development experience.
- Extensive experience with C++ and Python.
- Strong understanding of algorithmic efficiency, system scalability, HTTP, and RESTful web services.
- Familiarity with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Preferred experience with distributed cloud-native architectures, microservices, event-driven architectures, and event streaming platforms.
- Preferred experience with scientific data analysis, SQL, and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban environments and exposure to embedded development are nice to have.
- A background in Physics or Math and experience with self-diagnostic systems are nice to have; quantum computing experience is not required.
