Responsibilities
- Design, implement, maintain, and operate scalable Kotlin backend services for the Customer & Marketing environment.
- Use Terraform, Kubernetes, Flux GitOps, and Docker to build and manage scalable systems.
- Develop CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
- Work with BigQuery, GKE, Pub/Sub, and MongoDB Atlas to optimize cloud-based applications.
- Apply Kotest and Testcontainers to ensure reliable, high-quality code.
- Contribute to architecture decisions, code improvements, pair programming, and code reviews.
- Participate in the team’s regular on-call rotation to support high availability.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience as a software developer.
- Experience with Kotlin on the JVM for backend development and extensive server-side development knowledge.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architecture and GCP Pub/Sub.
- Strong knowledge of NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.
- Understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Terraform is a plus.
- Experience with Ktor is a plus.
- Familiarity with Arrow and Kotlin coroutines is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, collaboration, communication, and continuous-learning skills.
