Responsibilities
- Design and implement GCP landing zones, organization structures, folders, and multi-project architectures.
- Provision and manage GCP resources using Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, and Ansible.
- Configure autoscaling, auto-provisioning, resource optimization, and GCP networking including VPCs, subnets, routes, firewall rules, and Private Service Connect.
- Manage Google Cloud IAM roles, policies, service accounts, security controls, and compliance configurations.
- Set up monitoring and observability using Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Datadog, Dynatrace, and Splunk.
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, high availability, multi-region storage, and regional or zonal redundancy strategies.
- Collaborate on infrastructure planning, optimization, governance, cost management, and performance tuning.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in GCP infrastructure roles.
- Strong hands-on experience provisioning GCP infrastructure with Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment Manager, and Ansible.
- Expertise in GCP networking, IAM, security configurations, multi-project environments, and governance frameworks.
- Proficiency in Shell, Python, or PowerShell scripting for automation.
- Familiarity with Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Bigtable, Firestore, Cloud Functions, GKE, and Cloud Run.
- Knowledge of Cloud Monitoring, Cloud Logging, Datadog, and Dynatrace for monitoring and alerting.
- Understanding of GCP security and compliance services including Security Command Center, Cloud Armor, Secret Manager, Cloud KMS, and VPC Service Controls.
- Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect, Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, or Professional Cloud Network Engineer certification is desired.
- Exposure to cost optimization, billing, budgets, recommender tools, performance tuning, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
