Responsibilities
- Complete the structured learning program covering RDF, OWL, SPARQL, Apache Jena, and canonical data modeling.
- Implement canonical data mappings between ERP source schemas and the shared canonical model.
- Write and test SPARQL queries and contribute to ontology classes and properties.
- Develop unit and integration tests for canonical mapping and ontology code.
- Participate in code reviews and incorporate feedback from senior engineers and the team leader.
- Document mapping decisions and contribute to the canonical and ontology knowledge base.
Requirements
- 2–5 years of software engineering experience.
- Hands-on Java development experience, preferably with Spring Boot, REST APIs, and SQL.
- Strong fundamentals in data structures, algorithms, and object-oriented design.
- Willingness and aptitude to learn semantic web technologies and canonical data modeling; prior experience is not required.
- Basic exposure to AWS or an equivalent cloud platform.
- Good written communication skills for documenting mapping and design decisions.
- Preferred: exposure to data integration, ETL, master data projects, graph databases, knowledge graphs, Prolog or logic programming, and Git-based collaborative development.
