Responsibilities
- Develop, train, evaluate, and improve supervised and unsupervised machine learning models.
- Perform feature engineering, data preprocessing, dataset validation, and model performance analysis.
- Convert research prototypes and notebooks into maintainable Python modules and services.
- Integrate trained models into applications, APIs, processing workflows, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
- Package and deploy model inference services using containerized environments.
- Support model versioning, experiment tracking, model registry workflows, version promotion, and rollback procedures.
- Write unit, integration, and smoke tests and participate in code reviews and defect resolution.
- Monitor model behavior, resource utilization, inference performance, data drift, and operational anomalies.
- Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, software developers, and government stakeholders to deliver sprint objectives.
- Maintain implementation, testing, and operational documentation.
Requirements
- Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.
- A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Data Science, or a related quantitative discipline is required.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in machine learning engineering, software development, or applied data science is required.
- Proficiency in Python and common machine learning libraries, with practical experience training, evaluating, and deploying models, is required.
- Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, or scikit-learn, SQL and relational databases, Linux, Git, Docker, and automated testing is required.
- Knowledge of model integration, REST APIs, CI/CD principles, Agile development, and collaborative pull request workflows is required.
- Preferred qualifications include production ML deployment and maintenance, MLflow, Triton Inference Server, computer vision, NLP, classification, anomaly detection, Apache Airflow, PostgreSQL, distributed processing, model monitoring, GitLab CI/CD, container registries, restricted or offline environments, DoD or Intelligence Community missions, and high-performance computing.
- The ability to independently implement, troubleshoot, and deliver assigned engineering tasks is required.
