Base Salary
$114k - $171k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own technical design and execution for key application development projects.
- Lead development activities from analysis and design through construction, testing, and implementation.
- Act as the primary technical authority and subject matter expert for senior stakeholders and team members.
- Define and enforce development processes, operating standards, and security best practices.
- Guide and mentor developers on Java, data analysis, and SQL optimization.
- Manage feasibility studies, project planning, implementation, risk assessment, and delivery.
- Consult with users, clients, and technology groups and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Drive compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations while safeguarding company, client, and firm assets.
Requirements
- 6–10 years of relevant experience in application development or systems analysis.
- 8+ years of relevant leadership experience with a record of leading software projects from start to finish.
- Deep expertise in Java backend development.
- Exceptional data analysis and SQL skills, including complex data modeling and query optimization.
- Experience managing and implementing successful projects, with knowledge of consulting and project management techniques.
- Ability to consult with users, clients, and technology groups on complex issues and recommend advanced programming solutions.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field such as Computer Science or Electrical Engineering.
- Master’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
- Familiarity with event-driven architectures and NoSQL databases such as Kafka, MongoDB, and Couchbase is desirable.
