Responsibilities
- Architect, develop, maintain, and test Android design-system components and mobile interaction patterns.
- Write and review clean, scalable, testable code using appropriate best practices and design patterns.
- Maintain code quality through automated testing, code reviews, and continuous integration pipelines.
- Participate in mobile application architecture and provide technical assessments of design-component implementations.
- Collaborate with designers, developers, project leaders, architects, front-end developers, clients, and usability engineers.
- Document mobile components and support their adoption, implementation, testing, and maintenance across the development community.
- Evaluate technologies, patterns, and frameworks and contribute to design reviews, prototypes, and mobile user-experience standards.
- Create AI-agent documentation and test applications to evaluate design-system compatibility with AI-assisted coding.
- Document design-system components in Figma Code Connect.
Requirements
- At least five years of Android development experience.
- Expertise in Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, and Git.
- Experience with Material Design 3 for Jetpack Compose and design systems.
- Strong experience building reusable, testable, composable UI components.
- Proficiency with unit tests, screenshot tests, and Compose UI tests.
- Deep knowledge of accessibility best practices in Jetpack Compose.
- Knowledge of right-to-left development.
- Interest in modern technology trends and best practices.
- iOS development or cross-platform solutions knowledge is a bonus.
- Experience with inner-sourced products, third-party libraries, developer communities, open-source contributions, Dokka, documentation deployment, GitHub Actions, design or Figma tokens, regulated environments, JavaScript, or TypeScript is beneficial.
