Base Salary
$240k - $260k/yr
Responsibilities
- Lead the architecture of Haus's data ingestion and normalization platform.
- Design and implement high-leverage systems for data quality and observability.
- Drive architectural decisions in the GCP/BigQuery/dbt stack.
- Mentor senior engineers and conduct code and design reviews.
- Translate data science needs into reliable pipeline contracts.
- Own incident response and post-mortems for critical pipeline failures.
- Influence the broader engineering organization's data strategy.
Requirements
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with 4+ years in production data platforms.
- Proven track record of technical leadership and mentoring senior engineers.
- Deep expertise in Python, SQL/dbt, and modern orchestrators.
- Experience in designing and owning a non-trivial data platform.
- Strong product judgment and ability to communicate technical decisions effectively.
