Base Salary
$210k - $275k/yr
Responsibilities
- Define and drive architectures for scalable backend services and infrastructure supporting AI applications and workflows.
- Build and enhance Python backend systems that integrate with machine learning and AI models.
- Design and implement business logic with Django and database integrations.
- Develop reusable, efficient, and maintainable code for high-performance web services and real-time AI analytics.
- Partner with AI teams to streamline data pipelines, optimize model deployment, and support AI-powered product features.
- Provide technical direction to stakeholders and influence infrastructure-related roadmaps across multiple teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's, master's, or Ph.D. in computer science or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience developing and architecting large-scale web services.
- Strong expertise in databases, distributed systems, backend performance optimization, and backend requirements for machine learning infrastructure.
- Understanding of database internals, transactions, indexing, and schema design for AI data workloads.
- Expert proficiency in Python or other programming languages such as Go, Java, or C++.
- Extensive experience with Django and technologies including MySQL, Redis, Elasticsearch, Kafka, and Cassandra.
- Hands-on experience deploying and managing services on AWS, particularly those interfacing with machine learning platforms.
- Substantial production server or equivalent backend experience.
- Familiarity with HTTP, networking principles, API design patterns, operating systems, and Linux.
- Strong ownership, communication, collaboration, curiosity, and attention to detail.
