Responsibilities
- Design and operate end-to-end Salesforce DevOps continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines across environments.
- Implement Git-based build, deployment, branching, rollback, metadata migration, testing, and environment synchronization automation.
- Monitor pipeline health and platform performance, resolve deployment bottlenecks and failures, and reduce downtime.
- Collaborate with Salesforce administrators, developers, quality engineering, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders on release planning and operational issues.
- Establish standardized peer review, promotion, governance, access control, and configuration management practices.
- Develop reusable automation scripts and integrations with monitoring, notification, and ticketing systems.
- Document pipeline designs, deployment procedures, troubleshooting steps, and operational runbooks.
- Analyze release metrics and recurring issues to propose improvements that reduce deployment lead times and improve operational efficiency.
- Support secure and compliant Salesforce configuration changes affecting finance, accounting, billing, revenue recognition, and reporting processes.
Requirements
- Six to ten years of experience in DevOps engineering, primarily focused on Salesforce environments and application lifecycle automation.
- Advanced proficiency with Git workflows, including branching models, merge strategies, and version tagging.
- Strong experience configuring and operating Salesforce DevOps or release management platforms for metadata deployments, automated testing, and environment comparisons.
- Understanding of continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines incorporating unit testing, static analysis, and validation checks.
- Skills in scripting or configuration-driven automation for integrating DevOps pipelines with monitoring, notification, or ticketing systems.
- Ability to apply secure and compliant configuration and data-access practices within Salesforce environments.
- Effective communication and documentation skills for hybrid collaboration across onsite and remote teams.
- Familiarity with finance and accounting processes supporting billing, revenue recognition, or financial reporting is advantageous.
