Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evolve cloud automation and orchestration workflows for VMware-based platforms.
- Architect integrations with ServiceNow, reservation systems, deployment services, and asset-management platforms.
- Develop automation pipelines and services for virtual and physical asset provisioning.
- Modernize Aria orchestration capabilities toward VCF-based platforms and intelligent automation ecosystems.
- Create automation frameworks, APIs, and services for self-service provisioning, developer tooling, and platform operations.
- Collaborate with software engineering Scrum teams on automation, observability, and platform capabilities.
- Lead architectural discussions, document solutions, mentor engineering peers, and influence platform strategy.
- Champion secure-by-design engineering, reliable CI/CD practices, and scalable operational patterns.
Requirements
- 8–12 years of professional experience in DevOps engineering, cloud automation, or software engineering.
- Expert proficiency with VMware Cloud Foundation, vCenter, ESXi, and enterprise-scale virtualization management.
- Extensive hands-on experience with VMware Aria Automation, Aria Operations, and orchestration tooling, including lifecycle management, blueprints, policies, and extensibility.
- Experience architecting complex automation pipelines with API-driven workflows, infrastructure-as-code, and multi-platform integrations.
- Strong programming or scripting expertise with Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or equivalent.
- Experience integrating DevOps automation with ServiceNow, including CMDB synchronization, workflow automation, and custom orchestration triggers.
- Deep understanding of cloud automation frameworks, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, platform observability, operational analytics, and distributed-system diagnostics.
- Ability to lead architectural initiatives, produce technical documentation, mentor teams, and influence strategy across software and infrastructure groups.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams and collaborating with global engineering, operations, and platform teams.
- Preferred experience includes ServiceNow development, IPAM or network-services automation, GitOps, Kubernetes, Helm, Kustomize, hybrid-cloud or multi-cloud automation, Agentic AI/GenAI workflow automation, infrastructure security, RBAC, and enterprise compliance frameworks.
