Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and maintain scalable multi-cloud and on-premises environments using VMware, OpenStack, bare-metal Kubernetes, and public clouds.
- Develop infrastructure automation, CI/CD pipelines, and self-service VM and container lifecycle management.
- Establish observability standards using monitoring, logging, and metrics frameworks to support uptime and infrastructure diagnosis.
- Partner with internal business units to translate technical requirements into architectures and improve platform efficiency.
- Provide ongoing infrastructure support, documentation, and participation in a follow-the-sun on-call rotation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience managing and automating large-scale VMware, OpenStack, and enterprise Kubernetes environments on bare metal.
- Proficiency in Python, Go, or Java and infrastructure automation tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Puppet.
- Experience with networking technologies including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and Open vSwitch, plus observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Elastic, Logstash, Fluent-bit, or Fluentd.
- Experience with KVM, VMware, KubeVirt, and automated infrastructure support across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Preferred experience includes Pure Storage products, production KubeVirt workloads, and CKA, CKAD, VCP, or COA certifications.
