Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and verify HMI applications for FACTS PQ control and protection systems at the substation level using Micro SCADA.
- Design and verify Hitachi RTU-based gateway solutions for FACTS applications.
- Support communication-network design by preparing documentation for network architecture.
- Configure databases and mappings in the IET600 Engineering tool and contribute to project quality and continuous-improvement processes.
- Configure engineering workstations, network switches, GPS, KVM, and GOOSE-related systems.
- Set up and test FACTS applications and perform overall system testing.
- Take ownership of T&SD KPIs including OTD and COPQ.
- Ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical and electronics engineering.
- At least 4 years of experience in substation automation engineering for station control systems using Micro SCADA X, Hitachi RTU communication gateways, and substation automation products.
- Knowledge of IEC 61850, DNP3, IEC 101/104, and OPC UA industrial data-transfer protocols.
- Knowledge of IET600 Engineering tool and SCIL coding.
- Good working knowledge of HMI database configuration, animation concepts, and logic.
- Knowledge of IEC 61850 configuration in SEL, Hitachi, and GE relays.
- RTUtil500 and Multiprong PLC tools are advantageous.
- Knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML is advantageous.
- Ability to work independently with ownership, responsibility, structured execution, time management, and results orientation.
- Strong communication, technical-writing, interpersonal, and intercultural skills, with fluency in written and spoken English.
