Responsibilities
- Contribute to the architecture and design of new and existing embedded systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
- Develop and debug embedded firmware in C/C++ for Linux and RTOS platforms.
- Implement metrics and debugging tools and integrate solutions with backend systems to measure and improve product performance.
- Work across device frameworks, network stacks, OTA, setup, controllers, drivers, low-level wireless controllers, memory footprint, and application code.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement features, address customer issues, and tailor existing drivers and stacks.
- Partner with hardware teams to validate hardware and software architecture and ensure correct hardware exercise.
Requirements
- 3+ years of embedded firmware development experience.
- Experience with embedded development in C/C++ and embedded Linux and RTOS platforms.
- Knowledge of computer science fundamentals, including object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, problem solving, and complexity analysis.
- Experience with cameras, sensors, and associated algorithm development.
- Experience designing, developing, and debugging embedded software, preferably on ARM-based platforms.
- Board-level experience.
- Preferred: experience with embedded wireless systems or computer architecture.
- Preferred: experience with low-level board bring-up, HAL development, or BSP development for custom hardware.
- Preferred: deep hands-on experience with Linux/RTOS frameworks and drivers and Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stacks.
