Base Salary
$113k - $183k/yr
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, implement, and maintain the modern cloud-based Global Warranty Management solution.
- Perform complex application and technical problem identification and resolution, including off-shift and weekend support.
- Develop valuable business features and work independently on complex application or infrastructure components.
- Mentor software engineers and provide technical assistance and direction.
- Establish software quality practices and maintain high standards within the team.
- Design, test, and refine prompts and system instructions for large language models supporting warranty workflows, decision support, reporting, and user assistance.
- Communicate with end users and internal customers to direct application development, debugging, and testing.
- Perform functional, performance, load, integrated, and customer acceptance testing.
- Lead development activities, monitor quality, and advise on software development tools and utilization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of hands-on experience as an application developer.
- Proficiency in Java and JavaScript.
- Knowledge of software development tools, software product design and integration, testing methodologies, decision-making, and effective communication.
- Preferred experience leading medium- to large-scale projects affecting strategic priorities.
- Preferred experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, AWS, Agile or Scrum, AI prompting, data structures, schemas, metadata, authentication and authorization protocols, Java 21 or higher, Spring Boot, JavaScript ES6+, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, JSX, React, Angular, AWS services, and RESTful APIs.
- Preferred experience developing secure and scalable applications and connecting React or Angular frontends to Java backends.
