Responsibilities
- Design and implement Java-based test automation frameworks using Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit.
- Develop and maintain automation scripts for UI, API, and backend testing.
- Apply object-oriented programming principles and design patterns such as the Page Object Model.
- Perform API testing with Rest Assured and database validation with JDBC and JPA.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Bitbucket, and CloudBees.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for data validation and backend testing.
- Drive Test-Driven Development and Behavior-Driven Development practices using Cucumber.
- Provide coverage through unit, integration, functional, regression, and smoke testing.
- Collaborate with development teams, participate in Agile ceremonies, and improve testing processes.
Requirements
- A minimum of 6–8 years of experience with automated unit and integration testing.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field.
- Strong Java programming skills, including object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, streams and lambda expressions, multithreading, and concurrency.
- Hands-on experience with Selenium, TestNG, and JUnit.
- Familiarity with Maven or Gradle and dependency management.
- Experience with Rest Assured, JDBC, JPA, SQL, and relational databases including Oracle, DB2, or Snowflake.
- Experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket, and Git.
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, TDD, and BDD.
- Preferred exposure to cloud environments, Docker, Kubernetes, JMeter, and Agile or DevOps environments.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
