Base Salary

Responsibilities
- Build and evolve Python systems for integrations across Airbyte Data Replication and Airbyte Agents.
- Develop integrations for traditional data workflows and AI agent use cases.
- Create AI systems to detect and remediate connector failures with minimal human intervention.
- Design tooling for faster and more reliable integration development and monitoring.
- Drive initiatives for self-healing infrastructure and operational resilience.
- Collaborate with Customer Engineering and Support to eliminate recurring operational issues.
- Lead ambiguous technical projects from exploration to production rollout.
- Mentor engineers and influence technical direction across the integrations ecosystem.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional experience in building backend systems and developer tooling in Python.
- Experience designing extensible frameworks, APIs, or automation systems.
- Familiarity with AI or LLM APIs in engineering workflows.
- Ability to drive large technical initiatives independently.
- Strong systems thinking and debugging skills in complex environments.
- Experience improving engineering velocity through automation.
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration.
- Experience mentoring engineers and influencing technical direction.
