Responsibilities
- Design and implement architectural patterns, tools, and best practices for components, pages, services, and applications.
- Identify and improve developer-experience pain points and engineering infrastructure.
- Work across frontend, backend, build, and CI/CD systems.
- Support and mentor engineers on best practices and effective use of engineering tools.
- Lead the creation of new applications and the decomposition of the existing application into focused experiences.
- Improve the component library’s integration with the design system.
- Evolve mapping, charting, logging, and other libraries to improve performance, maintainability, usefulness, and visual quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
- Production web application development experience with JavaScript or TypeScript, particularly TypeScript and React.
- Experience designing architectural patterns, tooling, or best practices and leading engineering teams in adopting them.
- Experience integrating build systems, component libraries, testing frameworks, and monitoring into frontend codebases and CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with backend languages such as Go, C++, or Rust.
- At least five years of software engineering experience.
- Must be a U.S. Person due to access requirements for U.S. export-controlled information or facilities.
- Preferred experience maintaining continuous integration systems, including CircleCI.
- Preferred experience or interest in monorepos and modern build systems, Go, gRPC/protobuf, NixOS, and AI agents for software development.
