Responsibilities
- Execute engineering strategy for tools and automation across application, platform, and infrastructure build, test, release, and configuration activities.
- Lead solution options, end-to-end solution design, stakeholder coordination, and application subject matter expertise through the design and development lifecycle.
- Develop, code, document, and support complex applications and systems, including functional, technical, and user interface designs.
- Analyze requirements and current environments to recommend solutions aligned with business needs, architecture, performance, and development standards.
- Review technical deliverables, conduct code reviews and Operational Readiness Reviews, and identify quality, redesign, remediation, and gating requirements.
- Partner with architects and technology teams on infrastructure implementation, environment modifications, data conversion impacts, and performance requirements.
- Identify and implement buy, build, or reuse improvements that enhance customer experience, availability, cost effectiveness, and application integrity.
- Define metrics and performance goals, monitor service and productivity, and implement process and performance improvements.
- Manage technology risks, governance issues, regulatory alignment, and remediation plans.
- Mentor and enable team members, share engineering best practices, and provide thought leadership and knowledge transfer.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree, postgraduate degree, or technical certificate; a graduate degree is nice to have.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong academic background such as computer science or engineering.
- Expert knowledge of the business, broader organization, technical environment, engineering processes, tools, and relevant technology areas.
- Expert knowledge of specific engineering frameworks, technologies, tools, processes, and procedures.
- Ability to work independently or autonomously as a senior or lead across diverse solution development and operational support tasks.
- Strong collaboration, research, analysis, problem-solving, communication, stakeholder management, and mentoring skills.
