Responsibilities
- Design seller and advertiser experiences for promoting products, managing campaigns, and operating businesses.
- Develop scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems for high-volume advertising and bidding workloads.
- Implement services using Java, Scala, Spring Boot, and Node.js across a microservices architecture.
- Contribute to architectural designs, technical reviews, system-design decisions, and technical discussions.
- Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, and code review.
- Collaborate with ML engineers on LLM integrations, recommendation systems, and intelligent campaign optimization.
- Develop, test, and deploy services through automated pipelines with emphasis on reliability and observability.
- Evaluate technologies, contribute to internal open-source projects, and drive work from inception through delivery.
Requirements
- BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field with 7+ years of experience, or an MS with 5+ years of experience.
- Strong experience with Java 17 or later and Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
- Experience building scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs in distributed environments.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization.
- Strong system-design experience for distributed, high-traffic applications and understanding of consistency, availability, latency, and cost trade-offs.
- Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Ability to build LLM workflows or AI-powered automation.
- Preferred: Scala, Node.js, Express, NestJS, Fastify, GraphQL, Federated GraphQL APIs, columnar databases, and open-source or GitHub contributions.
