Responsibilities

  • Design seller and advertiser experiences for promoting products, managing campaigns, and operating businesses.
  • Develop scalable backend services, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems for high-volume advertising and bidding workloads.
  • Implement services using Java, Scala, Spring Boot, and Node.js across a microservices architecture.
  • Contribute to architectural designs, technical reviews, system-design decisions, and technical discussions.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, testing, and code review.
  • Collaborate with ML engineers on LLM integrations, recommendation systems, and intelligent campaign optimization.
  • Develop, test, and deploy services through automated pipelines with emphasis on reliability and observability.
  • Evaluate technologies, contribute to internal open-source projects, and drive work from inception through delivery.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in Computer Science or a related field with 7+ years of experience, or an MS with 5+ years of experience.
  • Strong experience with Java 17 or later and Spring Boot or similar frameworks.
  • Experience building scalable backend systems and RESTful APIs in distributed environments.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures and message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ.
  • Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, including schema design and query optimization.
  • Strong system-design experience for distributed, high-traffic applications and understanding of consistency, availability, latency, and cost trade-offs.
  • Strong computer science fundamentals in data structures and algorithms.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Ability to build LLM workflows or AI-powered automation.
  • Preferred: Scala, Node.js, Express, NestJS, Fastify, GraphQL, Federated GraphQL APIs, columnar databases, and open-source or GitHub contributions.
