Responsibilities

  • Build, own, and maintain product features by creating proofs of concept and testing new ideas.
  • Develop and test features that scale user-data and HR integration services.
  • Build backend APIs in Go, fix bugs, and integrate with microservices.
  • Create automated test cases using Go and Python to improve reliability and release speed.
  • Assist with UI updates and enhancements using React.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers through code reviews, pull requests, branch merging, mentorship, and technical guidance.
  • Gain experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Google Pub/Sub, and related services.

Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a co-op program in Software Engineering or a similar relevant field.
  • Completed several successful co-ops or internships and worked on backend or full-stack projects.
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm for learning, asking questions, seeking feedback, and supporting varied team tasks.
  • Strong interest in software engineering and professional growth.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Year 3 or 4 standing and advanced prior co-op experience are advantageous.
  • Experience with Python, Go, or React is advantageous.
  • Experience with Jira, GitHub, Kubernetes, GCP, Agile environments, or microservices is advantageous.
