Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain mobile, web, cloud, server, and distributed computing systems.
- Build backend microservices with Spring Boot, including extending and customizing framework components.
- Identify and resolve complex application and technical problems, including responding to off-shift and weekend support calls.
- Work independently on complex systems, infrastructure components, proof-of-concepts, and new framework or technology solutions.
- Develop business-focused application features while maintaining software quality and encouraging team improvements.
- Perform integrated testing, customer acceptance testing, debugging, and development validation.
- Coordinate implementation with project leads, test managers, developers, customers, dealers, and internal stakeholders.
- Plan and prioritize assignments, coordinate work with others, and deliver results with minimal management input.
Requirements
- Four-year degree or equivalent from an accredited college or university.
- At least 8 years of software development experience.
- At least 5 years of experience designing and developing applications with Java and Spring Boot.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and OSGi, microservice logging, monitoring, debugging, testing, architecture, design patterns, web services, APIs, and database integration.
- Strong proficiency in Java and experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with microservice integration, packaging, build automation, deployment, unit testing, and automation testing.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices, monitoring and observability tools, software development principles, and methodologies.
- Preferred familiarity with Git, Swagger, PCF, RabbitMQ, REST web services, JUnit, Mockito, PowerMock, MySQL, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Kafka, Sonar, Fortify, and WebInspect.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, collaboration, accountability, flexibility, and teamwork skills.
