Responsibilities
- Develop, test, and productionize ML and LLM-based systems serving real users.
- Design and build end-to-end ML pipelines covering data, features, training, serving, and monitoring.
- Make technical decisions balancing cost, latency, complexity, performance, and maintainability.
- Build reliable and scalable solutions across BigQuery, BigTable, Airflow, and DynamoDB distributed systems.
- Set up monitoring, A/B testing, and metrics frameworks to measure user impact.
- Debug issues across data pipelines, ML models, and distributed systems.
- Contribute to technical strategy and team best practices.
- Use agentic workflows and AI-assisted engineering to improve development speed.
Requirements
- At least 1–2 years of experience building ML systems in production and at least 4 years of software engineering experience.
- Strong Python and Scala or Java/JVM skills with experience writing scalable production code.
- Experience building and deploying ML models end to end, including data, training, serving, and monitoring.
- Experience building and deploying LLM-based features in production and integrating LLMs into ML systems.
- Understanding of shared ML architectures across domains such as search and recommendations.
- Strong attention to data quality, correctness, and the effect of upstream data on models and user experience.
- Strong SQL skills for massive datasets, including BigQuery and Spark.
- Experience with AWS or GCP, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Experience with distributed data processing and ETL pipelines using Airflow and Spark.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
