Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain batch and real-time ETL/ELT pipelines across structured and unstructured data sources.
- Build and optimize data lakes, warehouses, lakehouses, schemas, and curated datasets for analytics and operational use.
- Develop responsive web applications with modern frontend frameworks and scalable backend services.
- Improve application, query, and pipeline performance while following secure coding and privacy standards.
- Collaborate with product owners, architects, analysts, data scientists, designers, and business stakeholders.
- Troubleshoot incidents, perform root-cause analysis, document solutions, and improve platform reliability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
- Typically 2–4 years of experience is stated, while the skills section also requires 5+ years of software or data engineering experience with ownership across data and application layers.
- Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, plus Java, C#, or Node.js/TypeScript for backend development.
- Experience with React or Angular, HTML, CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, and responsive UI development.
- Experience building ETL/ELT solutions with Apache Spark, Databricks, Airflow, dbt, Kafka, or comparable services.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases, data modeling, query optimization, and distributed systems.
- Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud and their storage, compute, identity, serverless, and managed data services.
- Practical knowledge of Git, automated testing, containers, CI/CD, logging, monitoring, and infrastructure-as-code.
- Understanding of authentication, authorization, encryption, secrets management, secure APIs, and data privacy controls.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, English and local-language mastery, and the ability to communicate design proposals and negotiate options.
