Responsibilities
- Lead moderately complex software engineering initiatives and deliverables within a technical domain.
- Design, code, test, debug, document, upgrade, and deploy technology projects and programs.
- Contribute to large-scale strategy planning and evaluate moderately complex technical challenges.
- Resolve technical issues, lead projects, and act as an escalation point for client and team needs.
- Collaborate with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to achieve technical goals.
- Provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff and mentor engineers.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of software engineering experience or equivalent demonstrated through work experience, training, military experience, or education.
- Experience with multi-model LLM strategies such as Gemini, Claude, or proprietary models is desired.
- Understanding of model risk, explainability, and validation in regulated environments is desired.
- Exposure to Kafka, cloud-native patterns, and DevSecOps is desired.
- Experience with GenAI developer tools such as Copilot or Devin is desired.
- Experience mentoring engineers or serving as a technical lead is desired.
- Mortgage-domain experience, including origination, underwriting, servicing, or default management, is desired.
- Knowledge of document processing, decision automation, or workflow optimization in mortgage systems is desired.
- Deep understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and secure coding practices is desired.
- Experience with microservices, integration patterns, and Oracle JDBC (UCP) is desired.
- Proficiency with Gradle and Git is desired.
- Experience with Java 17, Spring Boot, microservices, cloud, OpenShift Kubernetes, ReactJS or Angular, HTML, and CSS is desired.
