Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate Data Engineering activities across teams and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
- Develop and maintain Databricks data pipelines, transformations, and analytical datasets.
- Provide technical guidance, design reviews, and implementation support to Data Engineers and external vendors.
- Implement and oversee data quality, testing, monitoring, validation, documentation, and governance controls.
- Coordinate technical delivery, backlog refinement, dependencies, architecture alignment, and platform support activities.
- Support data modeling, metadata, lineage, catalog information, data classification, access controls, and audit requirements.
- Monitor pipeline reliability, support production incidents and root cause analysis, and drive operational improvements.
- Support analytics, reporting, and AI use cases and apply AI assistants to development, testing, troubleshooting, and documentation.
- Support ServiceNow incidents, changes, service requests, and operational reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a STEM discipline.
- At least 3 years of overall experience and at least 2 years of Databricks experience.
- Experience with Python, PySpark, SQL, and AWS-based data platforms.
- Familiarity with Git, CI/CD pipelines, ServiceNow processes, and Agile delivery methodologies.
- Basic experience with Rally (Agile Central) for backlog management, user story tracking, and sprint execution.
- Experience supporting production environments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, cross-functional collaboration, business-domain learning, and focus on quality, automation, governance, and continuous improvement.
