Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, maintain, and support scalable applications using Java and AWS technologies.
- Develop and support RESTful APIs, backend services, and cloud-native solutions.
- Build and maintain frontend, backend, and batch-processing components.
- Design, optimize, and manage Aurora, RDS, Redshift, and SQL database solutions.
- Participate in platform modernization, feature enhancements, and application upgrades.
- Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and support incident resolution.
- Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and operational stability.
- Contribute to code reviews, technical design discussions, and continuous improvement.
- Support knowledge transition, operational readiness, and long-term ownership of the Charitable Gifting application.
- Collaborate with product owners, business stakeholders, architects, and cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Minimum five years of experience in software development, system integration, database design, and backend architecture.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, or a master’s degree or diploma in Computer Science.
- Strong hands-on experience in Java application development.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Proficiency with AWS cloud services, including Aurora, RDS, and Redshift.
- Strong knowledge of SQL, database design, development, optimization, debugging, and performance tuning.
- Experience with batch-processing frameworks such as AWS Glue, Control-M, or similar tools.
- Understanding of cloud-native application architecture and distributed systems.
- Experience with application support, troubleshooting, and production issue resolution.
- Experience with React.js or Angular for frontend development is preferred.
- Financial Services, Wealth Management, or Investment platform experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with Agile development methodologies and DevOps practices is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
