Responsibilities
- Lead solution design and architecture for digital applications, integrations, APIs, and platform enhancements.
- Create architecture documents, integration flows, API specifications, data models, and technical designs.
- Lead, guide, and mentor a team of 3–5 software engineers through project delivery.
- Coordinate requirements analysis, development, testing, deployment, release planning, and production stabilization.
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure full-stack enterprise web applications.
- Build responsive interfaces and backend services, RESTful APIs, integrations, business logic, databases, and reusable components.
- Troubleshoot complex application, integration, performance, and production issues and lead root-cause analysis.
- Promote responsible AI-assisted development and automated unit, integration, API, regression, and selected end-to-end testing.
- Support CI/CD pipelines, automated quality gates, secure coding, vulnerability management, logging, monitoring, and operational readiness.
- Maintain engineering documentation, runbooks, knowledge-transfer materials, and compliance with governance and change controls.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 5–8 years of relevant software development experience across front-end, back-end, integration, and database technologies.
- Experience in solution design, system architecture, technical documentation, and evaluating solution options.
- Experience leading and guiding 3–5 team members in IT project delivery.
- Experience delivering enterprise applications using Agile or iterative delivery methods.
- Experience coordinating technical delivery across business, engineering, quality, security, infrastructure, and operations stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including explaining technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
- Preferred experience in life insurance or financial services and familiarity with related regulatory considerations.
- Preferred experience with cloud-native applications, modernization, enterprise architecture, security architecture, solution governance, DevSecOps, automated quality gates, platform engineering, observability, vendor delivery, distributed stakeholders, and Responsible AI governance.
