Responsibilities
- Design and develop scalable backend systems and APIs for high-volume, real-time applications.
- Ship production-ready code and new features in a 24/7 sports betting environment.
- Own services across the full software development lifecycle, including design, maintenance, performance tuning, and reliability improvements.
- Triage, investigate, and resolve production issues while improving operational excellence.
- Optimize systems for speed, efficiency, scalability, and real-time demand.
- Collaborate with product and technical stakeholders, mentor engineers, and drive quality standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant combination of education, experience, and training.
- At least 3 years of professional object-oriented backend development experience using C# or Java.
- Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming principles, design patterns, and backend system architecture.
- Experience designing and building scalable distributed systems in cloud environments such as AWS or Google Cloud Platform.
- Advanced proficiency in automated unit, integration, and performance testing for large-scale backend services.
- Ability to mentor and develop engineers through code reviews, design reviews, and collaborative debugging.
