Responsibilities
- Collaborate with product, engineering, customer-success, and technical support teams to refine and streamline the customer developer experience.
- Ensure Airwallex APIs meet high standards and conventions.
- Create user and data analytics pipelines.
- Build a developer portal and documentation with AI as a core feature.
- Contribute to open source and foster a developer community.
- Incorporate new technologies and improve the technology stack.
- Develop external tools and services released to customers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, engineering, or a related major.
- Advanced knowledge of one or more programming languages, including Java, Kotlin, Python, or TypeScript.
- Evidence of working on high-volume distributed systems.
- Strong cloud experience with GCP preferred, or AWS services including EC2, RDS, ELB, and CloudFront, along with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Passion for building developer-facing products and strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Preferred: experience releasing or maintaining well-known APIs or designing APIs.
- Preferred: financial-domain experience.
- Preferred: experience leading major software migrations involving breaking changes.
- Preferred: experience in both early-stage startups and companies with more than 1,000 employees.
- Preferred: deep technical knowledge of frontend and/or backend systems.
- Preferred: experience in developer experience or other customer-facing engineering roles.
