Base Salary
$110k - $181k/yr
Responsibilities
- Own, develop, implement, and operate Allstate’s cloud application development and hosting platforms.
- Build and manage infrastructure-as-a-service layers, platform infrastructure, application environments, and infrastructure-as-code automation.
- Design and operate continuous delivery frameworks and tools, including automation of platform component lifecycles.
- Lead team engineering practices for test-driven development, continuous delivery, infrastructure engineering, and paired programming.
- Troubleshoot availability and performance issues across hardware, operating environments, networks, and applications.
- Develop logging-as-a-service and comprehensive monitoring solutions using open-source and commercial observability tools.
- Evaluate capacity and performance trends and establish scalability plans.
- Lead the engineering and delivery of new platform products and services while ensuring operational service-level agreements are met.
Requirements
- Five or more years of experience preferred.
- Experience with cloud applications, cloud engineering, cloud platforms, continuous delivery, continuous integration software, Python, software development, and Terraform.
- Ability to lead engineering practices and anchor shared technical knowledge without formal supervisory responsibility.
